S.J. Adams is a very, very high-ranking member of Adam Selzer's Smart Aleck Staff, the team that produced The Smart Aleck's Guide to American History, and is the author of the YA novel SPARKS. As you can tell by the name, SJ is gender neutral.

SJ serves as Manager of Operations at Smart Aleck Headquarters in downtown Chicago. Did one of Adam's ghost hunting projects go horribly wrong? Is HQ being attacked by Civil War re-enactors again? Did someone say Bob Dylan can't sing, making Adam turn into the Hulk and threaten to smash Chicago? Never fear. We're the Smart Aleck Staff.
